The Awards reward volunteer groups that demonstrate 'best practice' in the management of volunteers, and recognise that a positive volunteering experience is crucial to the overall success of any community initiative. State winners will receive $10,000 and a framed certificate. The state finalist runners-up will receive $5,000 and a framed certificate. Twelve national winners will be chosen from the state winners. Each national winner will receive a total prize of $20,000.

Foundation For Young Australians - Youth Participation Individual Fund
Grants of between $500 and $1,500 to support young people to follow their passion while contributing to their community. Any individual aged 12-25 years may apply.

The Australian Tourism Development Program
Businesses and regional organisations are encouraged to apply for funding of up to $500,000 to promote tourism in their own backyard under this $9.5 million Australian Government grants program. This program provides funding for tourism initiatives that: promote tourism development in regional and rural Australia, contribute to long-term economic growth, and increase Australia's competitiveness as a tourism destination.

The Myer Foundation
Grants to support arts projects which encourage excellence and innovation, introducing arts audiences to areas of new art insights. The Foundation will provide support to ensure that indigenous and non-indigenous artists gain access to professional training, development and mentoring and to develop new works by individual Australian artists and small and medium-sized organisations in the priority areas of Indigenous arts, regional areas, experimental and emerging art forms and projects that support the humanities, especially those that contribute to defining a distinct Australian identity.

Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarships
These scholarships, administered by the University of South Australia, each provide for twelve months of overseas study, a tax-exempt stipend equivalent to US$30,000, return airfares and institutional fees for one academic year. Website www.unisa.edu.au/Samstag/

Museums & Galleries NSW is now calling for applications from NSW & ACT visual art organisations and craft and design centres for inclusion within their 2006/07 touring exhibition program. Contemporary Music Touring Program
