How We Can Help
We are a membership based, not-for-profit organisation. Membership is available to not-for-profit organisations involving volunteers, to individuals and to organisations interested in volunteer effort.
We can answer your questions about training, recruitment, volunteer program establishment and management, program review and evaluation, insurance, and issues on volunteer placement. Advice is provided free to members.
We provide consultancy services for members. We can help you set up or evaluate a volunteer program, develop policies and procedures, and carry out strategic planning.
Other Services
From time to time, Volunteering ACT conducts special projects aimed at increasing the profile of volunteering in the community. An example is the ACT Agenda on Volunteering.
If you have a working party or task force that can benefit from our input, please let us know: we may be able to provide a person to join your team.
We welcome opportunities to provide speakers to large or small groups about our work.
We host occasional seminars and meetings on various matters. You may request such a meeting to focus on particular issues, and help you link up with other organisations. See the training page for related information.
